Wedding Quilt

I finally have pictures uploaded of the quilt I made for David and Kendra. Here it is:
Please ignore the mess in the background.
I think my favorite thing about this was the fabric. The light fabric looked like potato chips. The dark fabrics had either pizza slices or mugs of beer on it. Here's a closeup:

Almost makes me hungry and thirsty just lookin at it!

Love Your Heart

I had the privilege of going to the Quilt Expo not long ago. Lots of fabric, quilts, and gadgets all together in one place. A quilter's dream for sure. Two of my sisters and some friends were also there and so we decided to commemorate our day with a special picture. UW Women's Health had a booth where we could express ourselves pictorally. Little did I know that I would have a brush with quilting royalty. Nancy Zieman, of Quilting with Nancy fame, horned in, I mean, jumped in the picture with us.
Stunning, aren't we?!

It's almost time!!

Only 2 more days until my quilt retreat! Yahoo, I'm very excited. I don't know what all I will be working on, but I will post pictures when I return. I will be packing everything on Weds and taking off as soon as I can on Thursday. I love these retreats. I feel rejuvenated and happy when I return and I definitely feel very creative when I come back. These women are so very talented and it's inspring to see their works. Ah, fabric, thread, irons & ironing boards...that's what this girl's dreams are made of!
